Regional Development Australia Moreton Bay’s new committee will have a hands-on role facilitating economic development opportunities and investment for region.

Three new members have joined the committee and hit the ground running.

It follows a call earlier this year for nominations from highly motivated business leaders with a vision, drive, and passion for regional development, to help shape the Moreton Bay Region.

RDA Moreton Bay Chair Kelvin Patch says the new committee was appointed in August after a thorough recruitment process.

|“We were spoilt for choice with the interest we received and the quality of nominations, once again reinforcing the outstanding business and community acumen operating within the Moreton Bay Region,” Kelvin explains.|

With a footprint that matches the boundary of the Moreton Bay Regional Council area, recognised as one of the fastest growing populations in the country, the newly appointed committee will play a hands-on role facilitating economic development opportunities and investment.

“With the appointment of the three new members joining our seven existing committee members, we are confident that this group will play a significant role in strengthening our relationships with government and communities, as well as working at a strategic level to make a difference to the 29,000+ businesses that call Moreton Bay Region home,” he says.

The new committee members include Moreton Bay Regional Council Deputy Mayor Councillor Jodie Shipway, Natassia Wheeler and Zach Wright.

“We’re so excited to welcome Jodie, Natassia and Zach to the committee, and they’ve already hit the ground running, each bringing a unique skillset, background and experience to the role which will undoubtably support businesses and contribute to achieving RDA Moreton Bay priorities,” Kelvin says.

Continuing on the committee for this term are Chair Kelvin Patch, Deputy Chair Sharon Armstrong as well as Mike Brady APM, Professor Karen Becker, Craig Doyle and Craig Hewlett.
