A van containing more than 80 undelivered parcels was stolen from Deception Bay this morning.
Moreton District Community Engagement Officer Senior-Constable Jo Arthur says the delivery van was taken from Ilonka St, about 9.20am after being left unattended for a short time.
“At the time of the theft, the vehicle contained over 80 undelivered parcels,” she says.
The vehicle is a white Mitsubishi Express van with NSW registration plates DD6-8DA and has no company logos.
“Investigators are urging the public to contact police if they locate a large amount of parcel packaging that may have been disposed of,” Sen-Constable Arthur says.
Suspicious vehicle
She says a black four-door Audi sedan with tinted windows and dark interior was seen in the area at the time and followed the van from Ilonka St towards Bancroft Tce.
The man seen driving off in the van is described as about 170cm tall, of slim build with dark complexion and wore a high-vis shirt with sleeves pulled up and garden-type gloves on his hands.
The driver of the Audi is described as male, 170-180cm tall, of solid build with black, wavy shoulder-length hair and wearing a black t-shirt, black bucket hat, thick gold chain around his neck and possibly wearing yellow gloves.
