Stolen car used as battering ram
A Mitsubishi Pajero was stolen from a property at Ocean View on August 31 after bold burglars used the vehicle to ram through a closed garage door.
They jemmied a wooden back door at the Jinibara Court home between 8am and 2pm but were unable to open the garage door remotely because of a power outage and instead used the car to break through.
Before stealing the car, they searched through all rooms in the house.
The maroon Pajero, with Queensland registration plates 786-XIX, was taken from the address and captured by Moreton Bay Regional Council cameras on August 31 at 11.28am on Caboolture River Rd, Caboolture and on the D’Aguilar Highway at Wamuran at 12.49pm.
Women charged with assaulting police
Two women have been arrested in separate incidents after allegedly spitting on officers on August 31.
A 21-year-old woman from Bellbowrie was charged with serious assault and is due to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 19.
A 38-year-old Deception Bay woman was charged with serious assault after an incident involving an officer while he was arresting another person at a Thompson Rd, Deception Bay address about 11am.
The woman was also charged with committing a public nuisance, obstructing police, possession of drug utensils, possession of property suspected of being used in connection with the commission of a drug offence and possession of a dangerous drug.
She is expected to appear in Redcliffe Magistrates Court on September 12.
Drug charges
A unit complex at Caboolture lost power after a fire in a concrete bin storage room on August 31.
Closed Circuit TV footage showed a man entering the bin area around 3pm and leaving a short time later with the fire breaking out soon after.
The area where the fire happened was badly damaged, cutting power to the complex.
Police found a 17-year-old-boy from Caboolture, who has been charged with endangering property by fire, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug utensils.
He’s due to appear in Caboolture Children’s Court at a later date.
