Police searching for turf thief after lawn disappears in the dead of night
Published 2:41pm 17 January 2022
Moreton Bay police are seeking any dirt residents might have on a thief who allegedly made off with eight square metres of newly laid turf at Narangba.
It is believed the alleged offender visited the Elite Crescent address between 9pm on January 9 and 7.30am on January 10.
A man was seen near the address on the night, and is described as approximately 6ft tall, with a slim build, and wearing a hooded sweatshirt.
Police are also hoping residents may be able to assist in their investigation of several other building site and house-under-construction type offences across the Moreton Bay District.
A hire utility similar to the one pictured below was seen in the area around the time of some of the offences.
