Pooch Parade to get tails wagging
Tongues and tails will be wagging across Redcliffe this weekend as Moreton Bay’s cutest puppies and their owners take part in the inaugural Pooch Parade.
The Pooch Parade will be hosted by comedians Lindsay Drummond and Kath Griffin, who will delight the human audience with their improv on Sunday, May 15.
Speaking to Moreton Daily ahead of the event, Lindsay said the day would be a barrel of laughs for the whole family.
“This is going to be a real family-friendly event, with plenty of laughs for the whole family,” Lindsay said.
“The event is being hosted by MC Poochy Paws, which is Kath Griffin, and I will be Miss Hoochy Pooch.
“MC Poochy Paws will interview five of Moreton Bay’s most talented dogs, and there will also be a comedian and puppy psychic who will be doing past life readings, which I think will be pretty cool, and I have even written a theme song called Pooch Parade.
“The parade will be at the end of the event, and we are really hoping that people will come on down and enjoy the fun and even dress up – It would be cool to see lots of people dressed the same as their puppy.
“We don’t exactly know what else will happen on the day because of the improv nature of the day, but there will be a few surprises, and you may even have a love song improvised to you from your dog in the moment.”

The Pooch Parade will be held on Sunday, May 15 from 8-9am at Redcliffe Library carpark, 476 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe.
It is free to attend, with the event to also coincide with the premiere of the Anywhere Festival.
A wet weather plan will be in place incase of bad weather, but those who register for the event will be advised of any changes.
