The inaugural ‘Where We Belong’ Music Festival, organised independently by Tribe Social Belonging in collaboration with Redcliffe Area Youth Space, celebrated a spectacular debut two weeks ago.

Held at well-loved Picnic Hill on May 18, the event showcased an impressive lineup of local performers, hosting a successful joy-filled day; creating connection within the community.

Tribe Social Belonging founder Ryan Elson says the success of the festival was wonderful to witness.

“Our goal with 'Where We Belong' was to create a space where people could come together, connect, and celebrate our shared love of music and community,” he says.

“The overwhelming positive response from the attendees and performers has been truly heartwarming.”

In addition to showcasing local talent, the festival also featured a variety of interactive activities, including food trucks, kids’ games and face painting.

Redcliffe Area Youth Space CEO Amy Mayes says the event will have a significant impact on our youth.

“It's crucial for our young people to have safe, supportive environments where they can express themselves and feel a sense of belonging,” she says.

“'Where We Belong' provided just that, and we're thrilled with the turnout and the impact it had on our community.”

Tribe Social Belonging and Redcliffe Area Youth Space extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated and supported the 'Where We Belong' Music Festival.

Plans are already underway for next year's event, promising even more excitement and community engagement.
