The Moreton Bay community is being to form a team and attend an upcoming barefoot bowls fundraiser to help raise money for a North Lakes charity which preserves the personal stories of our veterans.

The fundraiser, hosted by Jeff Hughes from This Story Australia, will be held at the Banyo Bowls Club on Sunday, April 16 from 12pm.

The day will feature games of barefoot bowls, a barbecue from midday, music and tasty Mexican food from Carlos Tacos Food Truck from 3pm onwards.

There will also be a raffle on the day with all funds being donated to This Story – an organisation with a mission to educate, engage and connect communities through stories of Australia’s military veterans.

The major sponsor for the event is Last Man Standing Beer.

For more information, contact Banyo Bowls Club on 3267 5250 or send an email to [email protected].

The Banyo Bowls Club is located at 6 Froude St, Banyo.
