Roads closed in Moreton Bay as rain sets in
Published 6:54am 14 August 2024
Several roads are closed across the City of Moreton Bay as forecast heavy rain sets in.
A Flood Watch Warning remains in place for coastal and adjacent catchments from Shoalwater Bay to Tweed Heads, including Moreton Bay. The Pine and Caboolture Rivers could be affected.
Isolated to moderate flooding is possible.
It is due to an upper trough, which will continue to move south before shifting offshore later today. A surface trough near the southern Capricornia coast will drift southward over southeastern Queensland on Wednesday, and clear offshore and weaken from Thursday.
