BPW Caboolture will showcase local businesses at a special event this month.
Billed as the big event for small businesses, BPW Caboolture's third Business Expo will showcase a diverse range of businesses, from ghost writers, bedding and real estate firms to funeral directors and dance groups.
BPW Caboolture president Vicki Wood says in its second year it almost doubled the number of stallholders attending and she’s expecting even more businesses to be involved this year.
“We welcome any small business that wants to promote themselves and support local commerce – they don’t have to be women in business,” Vicki says.
“The expo has also become a great avenue for businesses to network with each other.”
Australian Idol Top 8 finalist and Bribie Island local Kiani Jazz will perform at the event, with other entertainment including dancers, martial arts and face painting.
Mindset coach Sean Gordon, marketing coach Karen Ahl, Evolving Support Services owner Letia Donnelly and No Lights No Lycra host and ambassador Teena Andrews are among the speakers at the expo.
Supporting local businesses
Vicki says by choosing to shop locally, we not only invest in the success of the community, we also foster a sense of connection and pride in the unique offerings of our region.
“Supporting small businesses means supporting our neighbours, friends, and family members who have poured their passion and dedication into building their dreams,” she explains.
BPW Caboolture started 35 years ago locally and more than 90 years ago internationally.
“BPW Caboolture is committed to empowering women in business and advocating for gender equality in the workplace,” Vicki says.
“We are a voice for women in both their personal and professional lives, but most importantly we are a group of women who meet, network, mentor and support each other in the.
“As an organisation dedicated to supporting all businesses, regardless of size or industry, BPW Caboolture is proud to host the Business Expo as a platform to showcase the talent, innovation, and resilience of local entrepreneurs.”
Proceeds from the expo will go towards supporting women in business, furthering BPW Caboolture's mission of creating a more inclusive and equitable business environment.
The BPW Caboolture Business Expo is on Saturday, May 18 from 10am-3pm at the Morayfield Sports and Events Centre, 298 Morayfield Rd, Morayfield. Parking is available onsite.
Applications for stallholders are still open. Click here for more information.
The event is proudly supported by the City of Moreton Bay and the State Government.
