
Seniors all set for annual concert

Rehearsals are in full swing for this year’s Redcliffe U3A Seniors Concert.
The concert will celebrate Queensland Seniors Month in October, with the theme of ‘seasons’.
Members of the U3A’s singing and musical classes will take to the stage to perform pieces from the 1940s through to the ’90s.
Greg McGrath says toe-tapping tunes will include Summer Holiday, Walking on Sunshine, Those Lazy Hazy Days of Summer, Autumn Leaves, Who’ll Stop the Rain, April Showers, You are my Sunshine and On the Sunny Side of the Street.
The concert is on Saturday, October 28 at 10am in the Senior Citizens Hall at 401 Oxley Ave Redcliffe.
Tickets are $15, which includes a light lunch.
They’re available at U3A reception in the City of Moreton Bay administration building at 1 Irene St, Redcliffe between 8.30am and 3.30pm, Monday to Friday.
U3A will be closed from September 16-October 3.
