An Arana Hills man had his “best night’s sleep ever” after landing a $1 million Weekday Windfall win in last night’s draw.
The Moreton Bay resident held the only division one winning entry nationally in Weekday Windfall draw 4696 and won $1 million.
Being close to retirement, the System 7 windfall, bought on The Lott website, couldn’t have come at a better time.
“Yay! Thank you very much!” he said when The Lott confirmed his bounty earlier this morning.
“It’s wonderful news. I’m so excited. I looked at my ticket last night and I had the best sleep!
“I’ve already shared the news with my wife and she was very surprised.
“We’ve got kids but we’ve decided to keep the news between us while we decide what to do next.
“It’s exactly what I needed as I’m very close to retirement!
“I’ll have to make an appointment with a financial advisor and set up my future now.
“Thank you! Thank you!”
The winning numbers were 18, 2, 4, 20, 15 and 41, while the supplementary numbers were 36 and 24.
The Lott’s division one winning tally has now reached 342 so far this financial year, including 82 won by Golden Casket customers.
There are more chances to win big with tonight’s Powerball offering $5 million, while Tuesday’s Oz Lotto has $4 million up for grabs.
