Businesses across the City of Moreton Bay can share their insights and opinions through Business Chamber Queensland’s pulse survey.
The quarterly pulse survey has been running for more than 20 years and measures Queensland businesses confidence and expectations.
City of Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery says taking part in the survey is a big opportunity for businesses.
“To understand the issues local businesses are facing, we need to hear from you; this is your chance to share the voice of your business,” Mayor Flannery says.
The survey’s purpose
Business Chamber Queensland’s pulse survey is considered the state’s most established, comprehensive, and trusted business sentiment survey.
It measures employment levels, turnover, business profitability and confidence.
“We are working with Business Chamber Queensland to ensure Moreton Bay businesses are represented at a state level, and local business needs are at the forefront of government policy decision-making,” Mayor Flannery explains.
What March survey reveals
The survey results add confidence to the strategic planning and future investment decisions of Queensland businesses.
Pulse survey data for the March quarter showed local businesses had steady general business conditions with satisfactory sales, revenue, and employment levels.
It found high operating costs were undermining profitability and confidence in the future of the state and national economies was weak.
The March survey revealed Moreton Bay businesses were mainly concerned with the demand for their goods and services, interest rates, and the rising costs of insurance premiums.
