Queensland Police Service has released video showing flooding across the City of Moreton Bay, including extraordinary footage of people attempting to drive through floodwater. See the video below!

The video showed hard-hit areas including Caboolture and Morayfield.

Specific flood areas shown include:

  • Dances Rd, Caboolture
  • Wararba Creek, Bellmere Road, Caboolture through to Torrens Road, Morayfield
  • Caboolture River
  • Walkers Road, Morayfield
  • Visentin Road, Morayfield
  • Morayfield (behind shopping centre)
  • Morayfield Rd near Centenary Lakes
  • Neurum Creek Rd
  • Old Gympie Rd
  • Visentin Rd


Heavy Downpours for Moreton Bay

Caboolture received 224mm of rainfall in 24 hours, Warner received 229mm, and Draper’s Crossing received 304mm. There was limited rain overnight and a severe weather warning has been cancelled.

While impact assessments are still underway, the Federal and State Governments have begun delivering support in some of the worst-hit areas, with assistance for Moreton Bay Council and Bray Park residents activated this morning.
