Moreton Bay PrideFest has been nominated in the 2024 Queens Ball Awards, with voting open now until Sunday, June 9.
Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and Moreton Bay City Council are calling for the local community to back Moreton Bay PrideFest’s nomination, by voting for Moreton Bay’s biggest LBGITQA+ event before the closing date.
The Queens Ball Awards recognise individuals, businesses, and organisations from the LGBTIQA+ community who have excelled in representing and helping the community in the past 12 months.

The event made its glittery debut in 2023 and was a celebration of the LBGITQA+ community, with high calibre entertainment and fun on offer.
MBRIT CEO Natassia Wheeler says it is important the region’s events calendar is representative and inclusive.
“Moreton Bay PrideFest has grown to become an important event for the community, celebrating diversity and inclusion with vibrant and meaningful festivities. We are incredibly proud that Moreton Bay PrideFest is a nominee in the 2024 Queens Ball Award for Event of the Year,” she says.
“This recognition highlights the dedication and passion of everyone involved. I encourage everyone to show their support and vote for Moreton Bay PrideFest before voting closes at midnight on June 9.
“Let's bring this well-deserved honour home.”
Moreton Bay PrideFest aimed to shine on a spotlight on the wide spectrum of talent from the LGBTIQA+ community including artists, performers and advocates, as well as grassroots community groups, queer community and their proud allies.
The feedback received from the inaugural event was overwhelmingly positive with 96.09 per cent of visitors either very satisfised or satisfied with their festival experience, and 96.48 per cent either very likely or likely to recommend the event to others.
The 2024 Moreton Bay PrideFest will be held on Saturday, June 8 at Pine Rivers Park, Strathpine. Tickets are still on sale. Visit the website
