International Women’s Day is a global day to celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe.
In the lead-up to the day, Moreton Daily spoke to several inspirational women from different suburbs across Moreton Bay.
Derelle said when it came to finding a business that she could “really sink her teeth into”, manufacturing personal body products sounded like a good choice because “they are always in demand”.
Derelle established the business in 2011 and, since then, it has grown from humble beginnings to a leader in new product development and manufacturing in the personal care and hair care industries.
In March, Derelle said the company had more than 40 employees, with the majority being Moreton Bay Region locals.
In the article, Derelle shared the secrets to her success, and passed on some of her top advice to the next generation of women, in a bid to inspire them to follow their dreams.
Derelle said every young entrepreneur needed to be “prepared for the journey, and all the bumps and hurdles that will come your way”.
Derelle also spoke fondly of her mother, who she described as her role model.
