A Moreton Bay law firm has thrown its support behind the Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day in 2022 by raising thousands of dollars which the hospital will use to update its the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units.
Shane Crew from Crew Legal in Kippa-Ring was pleased to hand over a $24,613 cheque to the Redcliffe Hospital in October, following a successful Spring Gala Ball held at The Komo.
For Shane, who is the Managing Director at Crew Legal, giving back to his local community to help make the region a better place is an important and worthy cause.
About Shane Crew
Shane Crew is the Managing Director at Crew Legal, a law firm based in Kippa-Ring, where he has worked for four years.
Shane has practiced in law for nearly 20 years at various firms and is a Queensland Law Society Accredited Specialist in Personal Injury Law.
He fights for compensation in the areas of motor vehicle accidents, WorkCover claims, public liability claims and medical negligence claims.
Shane manages a small team.
He has also been a past president of the Sunshine Coast Law Association, a past Vice President of the North Lakes Chamber of Commerce and a past committee member of the Queensland Law Society Personal Injury Accredited Specialist Advisory Committee.
Giving back to his local community is also important to Shane.
In recognition of Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day on October 14, 2022, Crew Legal presented a $24,613 cheque which the hospital will use to transform and refresh the Rehabilitation and Palliative Care Units’ patient lounges and outdoor courtyards to add some warmth and charm to those who face a lengthy recovery or are in the final stages of life.
Redcliffe Hospital Giving Day is the main fundraising activity for Raise it for Redcliffe, a partnership between the RBWH Foundation and Redcliffe Hospital. Every donation made on the day was doubled by Raise it for Redcliffe Impact Partners for twice the impact.
Money donated from Crew Legal was raised at the inaugural Crew Legal Spring Gala Ball held in September 2022. The event was held at The Komo in Redcliffe.
Shane hopes to make this an annual fundraiser on the peninsula and hopes to make an even bigger donation to the Redcliffe Hospital in 2023.
The Crew Legal team are also proud sponsors of the Redcliffe Dolphins, Peninsula Power and Peninsula Padres Baseball Club.
Shane also involves himself in his children’s extra curricula activities and has even coached or assisted with his children’s soccer, rugby league, baseball and basketball teams.
