With a passion for enhancing the lives of Australians and creating sustainable opportunities for work and business, Zach Wright was appointed to the Regional Development Australia (RDA) Moreton Bay committee in August 2022.

The committee is made up of local business leaders with a vision, drive, and passion for regional development, to help shape the Moreton Bay Region.

Zach, pictured in the white shirt, was one of three new people to join the committee, joining Moreton Bay Regional Council Deputy Mayor Councillor Jodie Shipway, Natassia Wheeler.

About Zach Wright

Zach Wright is the Business Relationship Manager at RSL Queensland and a committee member of Regional Development Australia (RDA) Moreton Bay.

(RDA) Moreton Bay is one of 55 organisations across Australia made up of local leaders who work with all levels of government, business and the community to promote the economic development of their regions.

RDA Moreton Bay is focused on promoting economic development, business growth, job creation, collaboration, innovation, investment and entrepreneurship.

Zach joined RDA Moreton Bay in August 2022 following a thorough recruitment process.

In his new role, he is part of a hands-on team which is facilitating economic development opportunities and investment that will grow and shape the Moreton Bay Region now and into the future.

Following his appointment to the committee in 2022, RDA Moreton Bay Chair Kelvin Patch said “with the appointment of the three new members joining our seven existing committee members, we are confident that this group will play a significant role in strengthening our relationships with government and communities, as well as working at a strategic level to make a difference to the 29,000+ businesses that call Moreton Bay Region home”.

Zach has spent much of his career working in the not-for-profit sector.

He began his role as the National Business Relationship Manager with RSL Queensland in June 2022.

Prior to this, Zach was the Employment Facilitator for Workforce Australia’s Local Jobs Program in Queensland, the Relationships Manager at Worklinks Queensland, the Business Manager at Seed Parks and Property Maintenance and a Sales Specialist/Strategic Lead at HELP Enterprises Limited.

Zach graduated from UniSC with a Graduate Certificate of Business Admin (MBA Pathway).

With a background in tender writing and business development, he is excited to bring focus to the amazing work already happening in the Moreton Bay Region and support businesses to deliver these impacts on a larger scale.

Zach hopes this role with RDA Moreton Bay will give him the opportunity to continue advocating for issues affecting veterans and their families, as well as the broader community.
