Works starts on new shopping centre

Construction is under way on Moreton Bay region’s newest shopping centre.
The site for Joyner Central, a new $29 million greenfield development, has been cleared at 27-31 Youngs Crossing Road.
Earthworks are now well advanced at the 4.1 hectare block, which fronts on to two roads.
The shopping centre, currently expected to open in May 2026, is expected to create around 290 jobs during construction and when open.
Joyner Central will have a full-line supermarket with a drive through as well a speciality retailers.
Plans are for cafes, dining, a bakery, medical facilities, health and beauty, a newsagency and community services.
The leasing team at Lancini Property Group is open to feedback from the community on specific brands they would like to see at Joyner Central.
Suggestions can be posted via the Joyner Central website www.joynercentral.com.au.
New retailers will be announced on the centre’s Facebook page.
The opening phase of construction for Joyner Central, which fronts on to Youngs Crossing and Gordons Crossing Rds, was expected to last 12 weeks.
