To celebrate Caboolture Festival, Moreton Daily is giving you the chance to win $100 worth of showbags.

Entries are now open and close at 5pm on August 5. The winner will be drawn at noon on August 6.

From August 1-22, Caboolture will be a hive of activity with live music, comedy, entertainment, family friendly events.

There’s everything from jazz in the library, an Open Air Comedy Night, a high tea, tastes of the Middle East, tree planting and opera to a gem show, 90s trivia, ABBA Live and strawberry sundaes.

The festival’s signature event is the Moreton Bay Region’s answer to the EKKA - Caboolture Family Fun Day at Centenary Lakes on August 9 from 10am-4pm.

It coincides with the Moreton Bay Region’s EKKA public holiday, giving families across the region the chance to enjoy free rides, stage shows, face painting and workshops.

There will also be showbags for sale, market stalls, food trucks and more.

The festival is organised by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism in partnership with Moreton Bay Regional Council.

Program packed with fun

MBRIT Chairman Shane Newcombe says the diverse program offers an event or experience for everyone.

“You can enjoy live jazz, opera, country music and even some of ABBA’s greatest hits this August right here in Caboolture,” Mr Newcombe says.

“We are really excited to welcome Akmal Saleh to the region for a night of laughs at Caboolture Town Square. The Open Air Comedy Night is an awesome addition to a program packed with events for residents and visitors of all ages.”

Moreton Bay Region Mayor Peter Flannery says this year’s Caboolture Festival will turn up the volume with an awesome line-up of events.

“The Caboolture Festival offers an exciting program spanning live music, foodie events, art exhibitions, library workshops and so many more, with the festivities kicking off from 1st August,” he says.

“If you’re looking for an inexpensive alternative to a day at the Ekka, then the Caboolture Family Fun Day on 9th August is for you.”

Cr Adam Hain (Div 3) says the festival will be Caboolture’s time to shine, showcasing the truly diverse offering in this part of the region.
