Your guide to spooky and spine-tingling fun this Halloween

There’s a terrifyingly good range of spooky events being held across Moreton Bay for Halloween this month, which is sure to send shivers down the spines of both young and old.

If you’re looking to get dressed up in your best scary costume to celebrate, here are 13 events happening in and around Moreton Bay to add to your diary. 

Redcliffe Markets Festival of Frights

When: Saturday, October 29 from 4-9pm

Where: Redcliffe Parade, Redcliffe

Organisers of the Redcliffe Markets have planned a spooktacular night full of frights, eats, beats, tricks and treats, which will be held on the Redcliffe Foreshore on October 29.

People of all ages are encouraged to dress up in their best scary outfits and spend the evening wandering through the 200-fa-boo-lous stalls.

The night will also feature trick or treating, a Sideshow Alley, spooky decorations and stalls, street food, a Halloween inspired jumping castle, face painting, spine chilling live music and roving entertainment.

There will also be a fireworks display on the night.

Entry is free, but you need to register in advance, which you can do here.

Free street parking is available, or you can park at Pearson Park on Klinger Road for $5.

Caboolture Annual Halloween Twilight Markets

When: Saturday, October 29 from 4-9pm

Where: Caboolture Showgrounds – 140 Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture

A large array of stalls will be set up at the Caboolture Showgrounds for the Annual Halloween Twilight Markets.

The night will also feature food stalls (both sweet and savory), trick or treating and prizes for the best dressed competition.

Dance of the Dead Halloween Festival

When: Saturday, October 29 from 7pm-1am

Where: The Grand Ballroom at the Eatons Hill Hotel - 646 S Pine Rd, Eatons Hill

Dance of the Dead is an immersive Halloween experience which will feature hair-raising Halloween attractions, blood-curling visuals from horror movies, professional costume photoshoots. green fairy floss and grisly themed drinks.

Ghoulies and Ghosties

When: Monday, October 31 from 5-9pm

Where: Caboolture Historical Village - 280 Beerburrum Rd, Caboolture

The Caboolture Historical Village is once again hosting its Ghoulies and Ghosties event for 2022.

The village is set to come to life with lots of set pieces, props, lighting and visual effects and volunteers who will be out to scare you.

If this is your first time visiting and you are feeling a little nervous, there will be a scare free hour from 5-6pm.

Tickets are $16 for anyone aged 16 and over, $5 for children aged between 5-15, and free for kids aged 4 and under.

Parking is a gold coin donation.

Kids Club Halloween Party

When: Saturday, October 29 at 10.30am

Where: Caboolture Sports Club - Station Road, Morayfield

Caboolture Sports Club will be hosting a fully supervised Kids Club Halloween Party, where there will be a Halloween themed disco, games, a slime workshop, face painting and more.

Tickets are $5 for Explorer Kids Club members, or $10 for non-members.

The price also included a kid’s meal for lunch.

This event is suitable for children aged three and over.

Free trick or treating in Warner

When: Thursday, October 27 at 5.30pm

Where: Warner Tavern - 2 Everest St, Warner

The Warner Tavern is getting into the Halloween spirit early by hosting a Halloween party on Thursday, October 27.

There will be prizes for the best dressed kids and family, as well as face painting, trick or treating and more.

Halloween Party featuring Brooklyn

When: Friday, October 28 from 8pm-2am

Where: Sandstone Point Hotel - 1800 Bribie Island Rd, Sandstone Point

Sandstone Point’s annual Halloween party in the nightclub Is back, with Brooklyn headlining on the night, followed by DJs who will keep the tunes going until 2am.

Halloween dress is encouraged – if you’ve got it, haunt it!

Entry to the nightclub is free before 8pm, or it’s $10 afterwards.

Halloween Party featuring Tigerlily

When: Friday, October 28 from 8pm-2am

Where: Eatons Hill Hotel - 646 S Pine Rd, Eatons Hill

Boo-gie the night away at the Eatons Hill annual Halloween Party, featuring the bright-haired DJ and influencer Tigerlily, followed by DJs who will have you on your feet until the early hours of the morning.

Guests are encouraged to dress up in their best costumes.

Entry is free before 8pm, or it’s $10 afterwards.

Halloween Spooktacular

When: Sunday, October 30 from 4-5.30pm

Where: Banksia Beach – Bribie Island

There will no tricks at this beach party, just lots of nice treats.

Families are encouraged to head on down for a fun afternoon of dancing, playing games and more.

The event is hosted by High Vibe Dance and Fitness and Bender’s Bods.

Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased here.

Peaceful Palette – Halloween night

When: Sunday, October 23 from 3-5pm

Where: Kallangur Tavern – 1517 Anzac Ave, Kallangur

Paint your own Halloween masterpiece at this two-hour art workshop held at the Kallangur Tavern.

No experience is necessary, and you will receive step-by-step instructions from an artist.

This is not a BYO event – food and drinks will be sold by the vendor.

Strathpine Spooktacular 

When: Thursday, October 27 from 4-8pm.

Where: Strathpine Centre

Kids of all ages are being encouraged to get dressed up their scariest costume for a full night of haunted fun at the Strathpine Centre

There will be a free centre-wide Trick or Treat hunt where you have to hunt around the centre to find a secret codeword, as well as fairy floss, face painting, live music and more.

Halloween at Dude and Duke

When: Saturday, October 29, beginning at 11am

Where: Dude and Duke Beer Hall 

A tasty Halloween inspired event is hitting up Deception Bay this October, with Dude and Duke Beer Hall set to host a “Fright Night”.

This will be your opportunity to sip on some potential new favourites from local and international distillers, plus kick back and listen to some live entertainment. 

Entry is free and walk-ins are welcome.

Nightmare on Nolan Drive

When: Saturday, October 29 from 4-9pm

Where: Bite Markets North Harbour 

Bite Markets at North Harbour will be hosting a Halloween Spooktacular, complete with trick or treating and a scavenger hunt on Saturday, October 29 from 4-9pm.

Kids will also enjoy the Monster Mash Disco (suitable for kids aged 12 and under) and Halloween Bingo.

There will also be prizes for the best dressed.
