Youth hub opens at Peninsula Fair shopping centre

A new store is offering a suite of free programs and activities to engage young people in sport, dance and more at Peninsula Fair shopping centre.
The Made Concepts PLAYGRND store is a youth hub which will operate from 3-7pm Monday to Friday at the centre.
It has already launched its Take it to the Streets program in the carpark, which will run every Thursday, 2-6pm, from September 25 to November 13. The initiative is for young people aged 13-18 years.
Run by professional players and coaches, it will offer FIBA 3×3 basketball, Box Fit, soccer, pickleball, free food and free entry. There will be prize giveaways every week. Participants are asked to bring a water bottle, towel and basketball.
Free U18 Dance Classes will be held every Monday for four weeks starting September 29 at the PLAYGRND store. Sessions are on offer for senior, under-18, and all abilities adults/NDIS.
There will be a Grand Opening Party on October 2 from 3-7pm, coinciding with week two of Take it to the Streets. It will include e-games, boxing, learn to DJ sessions, 3x3 basketball and food. Entry is free.
