About Mango Hill

A recently developed residential area, Mango Hill is a family-oriented suburb with the infrastructure and facilities to suit the needs to growing families.

Officially beginning at the junction of the Bruce Highway and Anzac Avenue, Mango Hill is surrounded by the suburbs of North Lakes, Griffin, Rothwell and Kallangur.

Although separated by Anzac Avenue, Mango Hill benefits from the close proximity to North Lakes including access to retail shopping outlets, restaurants and cafes, additional schools, a public library and sporting facilities.

Educational facilities in Mango Hill include; Mango Hill State School, Mango Hill State Secondary College, St Benedict’s Catholic Primary School and St Benedict’s College.

Completed in 2016, residents of Mango Hill and neighbouring suburbs have access to two train stations; Mango Hill East and Mango Hill train station.

  • Halpine Lake Reserve

History of Mango Hill

Although locally known by the name Mango Hill since the 1950s, it was until September 1980 that it was formally decreed. The name was chosen to commemorate the section of Mango Trees planted along a 700m section of Anzac Avenue that passes through the suburb.
