About NAIDOC on the Hill
Join the Redcliffe Youth Space for a free community celebration of NAIDOC Week, celebrating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture through music, storytelling, art and connection.
Supported by the City of Moreton Bay and Q Music, the family-friendly event will feature a vibrant lineup of live performances from Our True God?, Georgia Corowa, the Undumbi Dancers, East Coast Brotherhood (featuring members including JK-47) and Thareal JC, with Sean Choolbura as MC.
Visitors can also take part in interactive cultural workshops, including Emu Egg Carving with Uncle Maurice Mickelo and Murri Tukka, where attendees can learn about bush foods, storytelling and First Nations culture.
Throughout the day, families can enjoy children's activities, collaborative art projects, community stalls hosted by First Nations organisations and delicious food and refreshments from Connections Catering.
This free event offers a unique opportunity for the community to come together, celebrate culture, deepen understanding and recognise the history, achievements and ongoing contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
