Moreton Bay families are invited to attend a free family fun day that will be held in Burpengary this weekend.

Held on Sunday, May 21, the event will feature an afternoon of free fun and entertainment from 12-5pm at the Burpengary Community Centre, located at 111 Station Rd, Burpengary.

The event is hosted by volunteers from the Burpengary Community Association.

President Ed Nixon says the day will feature a range of activities for kids of all ages to enjoy.

“There will be an animal farm, science exhibition, jumping castles, a large obstacle course, 9-hole mini golf, face painting and craft activities for the kids,” Ed says.

“The Men’s Shed will be there with a sausage sizzle, there will also be free popcorn, as well as the Northside Bee Keepers, Meals on Wheels, Burpengary Camera Club, Pupa’s Coffee Van, non-alcoholic drinks from Go Bars, Big Lick ice cream, Asian Dumpling House, Crossfit 505 and many more exhibits.”

Families can also choose to bring their own food should they wish, but it is an alcohol-free event.

There will be free parking at St Eugene College on Station Road with free transfers by Kangaroo Bus Lines to and from the venue.
