During the past 12 months, 100 new affordable homes have been built by a leading home builder in four South East Queensland suburbs including two in the City of Moreton Bay.
EveryOne Homes, a division of Metricon, has delivered the properties with support from the State Government. It marks a milestone for the Everyone’s Place initiative.
The achievement was celebrated today in Joyner with Housing and Public Works Minister Sam O’Connor and Moreton Bay Mayor Peter Flannery joining representatives from EveryOne Homes, Tetris Capital, KDL, and National Affordable Housing to tour the 100th completed home.
Led by Tetris Capital, the Everyone’s Place consortium - with EveryOne Homes as builder, KDL as land developer, and National Affordable Housing as community housing provider - is delivering 483 affordable homes across Burpengary East, Jimboomba, Logan Reserve, and Joyner.
Completing 100 homes in just one year has been credited to a fast and consistent delivery schedule, and a motivated construction team which started about 30 homes each month and achieved a five to six-month completion timeframe.
The program remains on track to deliver all homes early in 2027.
EveryOne Homes General Manager Sam Gribble says: “This milestone highlights the power of collaboration and commitment to providing Queenslanders with access to high-quality, affordable housing.
“Metricon’s EveryOne Homes is proud to be part of a partnership that’s delivering real homes for real people, homes that are accessible, modern, designed and built to the same standards of quality and care that Metricon is known for. Reaching 100 homes within 12 months reflects an incredible effort from all involved.”
The homes are being offered at 75 per cent of market rent to eligible households, providing safe and sustainable housing options for families and individuals.
Featuring 1-, 2-, and 3-bedroom layouts, each home includes a private backyard, garage and contemporary interiors.
A significant portion feature EveryOne Homes’ innovative dual-key designs, enabling flexible and multigenerational living arrangements.
