Keeping promise to Annalise

A special long lunch will be held next month to support Daffodil Day and keep a promise to Annalise Zoubakin.
Rebecca Cawood is hosting the Ladies Who Long Lunch (With The Occasional Guy) at Redcliffe Leagues Club on August 28, to support the Cancer Council appeal.
It will also be in memory of her friend and colleague Annalise, a much-loved hospitality and events professional who worked at Redcliffe Leagues Club, Belvedere Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel.
“Last year, while bravely battling cancer, Annalise ran a Daffodil Day fundraising stall at Redcliffe Leagues Club,” Bec said.
“I remember her telling me she wanted to make it bigger and better the following year and I promised I would help her do that.
“Sadly, Annalise is no longer with us, but I am determined to keep that promise and continue this event in her honour.
“While she won't be there in person, I know she'll be there in spirit.
“Let's come together as a community, celebrate Annalise's legacy and make a real difference for those affected by cancer.”
Every ticket sold will support Cancer Council, with additional funds going to Redcliffe Hospital Oncology and Chemotherapy Treatment Unit, where Annalise received treatment.
Organisers are also looking for donations of raffle prizes, auction prizes, sponsors and vendors. For details email bec at [email protected]
The Ladies Who Long Lunch is on Friday, August 28 at Redcliffe Leagues Club, from noon. Tickets $129 per person.
