Apartments plan for high-profile blocks
Words by Nick Crockford

Plans have been submitted for an eight-storey development at one of the most prominent positions along Redcliffe’s seafront.

The proposal is to build 15 three-bedroom apartments with balconies over two blocks at 47-49 Marine Parade.

It is just above Suttons Beach and looks out across Moreton Bay to Moreton Island.

Making way for the new development would be the Sutton’s Beach Takeaway and Convenience store building and a neighbouring house.

The application, publicly available on Moreton Bay Regional Council’s website, shows the apartments would take up just over half the 1012sqm block.

There would also be 31 car and two motorbike parking spaces in the basement, with one at the front of the site for a PWD (people with disability) vehicle.
