A new plant shop is set to open tomorrow – right in the heart of Redcliffe's CBD.

Urban Jungle Society’s plant store, in Cominos Arcade, will open its doors for the first time on Saturday at 7am.

It will have a 30 per cent discount on everything, from indoor plants to designer pots and horticulture products, for the first week.

Order forms will also be available in-store - at 10A/132 Sutton St, Redcliffe - for those wishing to buy outdoor plants.

Kendrik Uhle said he chose the location after spotting a “lack of independent plant stores in the area”.

“I wanted to offer the local community something different from the big-box retailers,” Mr Uhle, from The Urban Jungle Society, said.

“With the closure of Redcliffe Garden Centre (in Snook St), I saw an opportunity to create a space where plant lovers could come for advice, inspiration and a diverse selection of plants.

“As a landscaper by trade, I’m passionate about plants and want to share my knowledge with the community.”

“Cominos Arcade felt like the perfect fit - not only for its location but also as an opportunity to contribute to the revitalisation of the area.

“... And encourage more small businesses to set up shop in Redcliffe.”

The store will be open Wednesday-Friday 9am-3pm and Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm, with the 30 per cent discount from March 1-8.
