Moreton Bay is ready to celebrate Queensland Youth Week with nine days of events for young residents - starting on Saturday.
With more than 77,000 residents aged 12-24, Youth Week (April 11-19) is an “opportunity to acknowledge the talents, creativity and contributions of local young people.”
“Queensland Youth Week allows us to celebrate the important role young people play in our community,” Mayor Peter Flannery said.
“They are the leaders of tomorrow, and it’s important we support them by providing opportunities to learn, grow and thrive right here in Moreton Bay,” he said.
Activities include the Moreton Youth Fishing Competition and the Youth Week Online Song Competition, with a range of free or low cost activities, competitions and prizes.
