Big Rigs rolled into Redcliffe Showgrounds on November 6 to raise money for children’s hospice Hummingbird House during this year’s Brisbane Convoy for Kids.
Organisers have hailed the event a success, with more than 600 trucks and five bikes taking part and about 5000 people attending a family fun day at the showgrounds, which included a truck show, free rides, magic shows, entertainment, markets and fireworks.
About 5000 people also watched the convoy along the route as it made its way to Redcliffe.
A spokeswoman says an exact fundraising total is still being calculated, but she believes the event has raised about $60,000 for Hummingbird House.
