Uno Caffe and Pizzeria, Strathpine
A great menu that uses local ingredients and a comfortable environment makes Uno Caffe and Pizzeria the ideal place to enjoy a meal, drink with friends or a cuppa.
Melissa and Dan Costelloe jumped at the chance to become part of the redevelopment of Strathpine Center more than three years ago, opening the licenced restaurant, which makes full use of indoor and outdoor space. “The main reason we built this is it’s a place that everyone can come to,” Melissa says.
Uno Caffe offers a full restaurant menu with a selection of woodfired pizzas, pasta, burgers plus so much more.
Melissa tells us that they will always try to source their ingredients locally where they possibly can and by locally they mean their produce from the green grocer and meat from the butcher inside the centre.
The beans for their coffee are supplied by Morningside roaster, Vivo Coffee, who have similar family ethos.
Uno Caffe is open five nights a week and seven days, with all you can eat pizza and pasta on a Tuesday and Wednesday from 5pm-8pm for only $20. On Fridays you can enjoy $1 Chicken wings or three chicken wings and a drink for $10.

Crepe and Co, Strathpine
When we asked the Crepe and Co owner Anna Yildiz for the secret to the perfect crepe, she was rather reluctant to give too much away.
“Everything is fresh … that’s the main secret. We don’t use anything pre-made. Everything is fresh on the spot and we make it with a smile,” she says.
Anna and husband Ummit opened Crepe & Co in the Strathpine Centre in 2018 and still run Grab A Kebab in the complex a business they started 15 years ago. “This shopping centre was missing something, crepes were missing,” Anna says.
The chicken deluxe is popular, as is the Crepe and Co Favourite. with chicken, mushrooms, capsicum, cheese, shallots and secret sauce and well as the Crepe and Co favourite with chicken, ham, bacon, mushrooms, cheese and spinach. So as you can see there’s not just the sweet crepes you would expect — there are plenty of savoury options on the menu too. Serving a variety of treats, from waffles, honey puffs, Dutch pancakes, gelato, to bacon and eggs and French toast.
While customers love the end product, they also enjoy watching their food being made, with all the action in plain view.
