Earthquake shakes City of Moreton Bay

Residents across South East Queensland including the City of Moreton Bay have felt an earthquake this morning.

According to the Geoscience Australia website, there was a 5.6 (MLa) earthquake at Kilkivan, Queensland, at 9.49am at a depth of 2km.

People at Kippa-Ring, Narangaba, Samford, Burpengary, Caboolture and Deception Bay have reported feeling the quake, with roof tiles and walls shaking.

Brisbane suburbs also felt the quake including Kedron and Banyo.

At this stage, there are no reports of damage in the City of Moreton Bay.

No warnings have been issued as a result of the earthquake, including tsunami warnings.
