Words by Nick Crockford

The eighth annual exhibition for the Contemporary Arts Group (CAP) opens this month at Bribie Island Community Arts Centre.

“Eclectica 8”, as the name suggests, show a diverse range of 2D and 3D artworks from the opening night on Thursday June 22, 4-6pm and run for two weeks.

The CAP group decides on a set of common subjects/techniques and this year has experimented with such as paper mache, paint skins, recycled works and jewellery.

The exhibition will show how each artist’s works have evolved in their individual arts practices.

There will be pours, abstracts, jewellery, mixed media, landscapes, colour and fun pieces.

Bribie Island Community Arts Centre is at 191 Sunderland Dr, Banksia Beach. Phone 3408 9288 or visit bribieartscentre.com.au
