Two superstars of the canine world – Bluey Live and Paw Patrol – are headlining Redcliffe KiteFest, which is on September 17 and 18 at Clontarf’s Pelican Park.
It’s the ultimate kids’ weekend, with a huge program of entertainment and attractions to thrill the whole family both days from 9am-4pm.
Tickets are selling fast, so families are being encouraged to buy them online to avoid disappointment. Visit the website for details
The event is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and supported by strategic partner Moreton Bay Regional Council, major partner, Tourism & Events Queensland, Kites Queensland, and Major sponsors, Ausbuild and Sesame Lane.
It is being delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT).
This is the first time Redcliffe KiteFest will include two headlining live children’s shows and the kids are expected to go barking mad when Bluey and Paw Patrol hit the Sesame Lane Main Stage for two separate stage shows on both days.
The program for the 2022 event will feature crowd favourites including the KiteFest Kidz Zone, KiteFest Karnival, Kite Flying Arena, Public Kite Flying Zone, Ocean/Sky Zone, food/market stalls and more.

Don’t miss out
Moreton Bay Regional Councillor Cr Karl Winchester (Div 6) says families will need to be quick to secure their tickets.
“Get online and grab a family ticket ASAP because it’s going to be really sensational low-cost family fun,” he says.
“Locals have the advantage of being able to walk down to Pelican Park and I definitely encourage you to leave the car at home, if possible, because we’re expecting big crowds.
“For visitors to the peninsula, we’ve organises shuttle buses from the Redcliffe Showgrounds to get you down to the foreshore and this service will be running regularly all weekend.
“I’m just so excited to be back out in our beautiful community, coming together and celebrating what makes living here so great. Don’t miss out.”
Mayor Peter Flannery says KiteFest attracts more than 30,000 people across the two days and contributes more than $1.6m to the region.
“KiteFest is an annual showstopper with fun in the sun through the day with brilliant kite displays and funky stage shows to keep the party going,” he says.
“2022 is the year for events, with Council delivering a whopping 43 free community events in partnership with Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) this financial year on top of the regular signature events like Moreton Bay Food Wine Festival, Jetty 2 Jetty and of course the absolutely spectacular KiteFest.
“This is an enormous investment in vibrancy and a direct response to calls from locals for more festivals and activities in their suburbs and neighbourhoods. So, come on down and join in all the fun.”
Biggest program ever
MBRIT Founder and CEO Shane Newcombe says his team is excited to deliver a program featuring Bluey Live and Paw Patrol – the first time the event has had two big headline acts.
“We’re constantly looking for ways to make Redcliffe KiteFest bigger and better each year, and I think this year’s entertainment line-up will be a massive drawcard for families looking for a fun day out,” Mr Newcombe says.
“Add to that some really impressive kites and kiteflying, Hot Wheels Stunt Team zone, the aerobatic display, Kids Karnival zone and market stalls … there really is something for the whole family.”
