Redcliffe Dolphins Soccer Club is aiming to finish a remarkable season with more glory at the weekend.
‘Phins secured back-to-back promotions late last month when finishing third in the new FQPL 4 Metro Men’s league.
They then beat runners-up North Brisbane 3-2 in a thrilling semi-final on Saturday, which avenged last season’s grand final defeat by the same club.
‘Phins are now preparing face Logan Metro, who finished fourth, in the FQPL 4 Metro Men’s Grand Final on Saturday at 2.30pm.

‘Phins trip to Perry Park, in Bowen Hills, will be a fitting finale for Redcliffe after a season which has “exceeded expectations”.
Eighteen months ago, Redcliffe separated from the PCYC after almost 40 years and changed its name to Redcliffe Dolphins Soccer Club.
Six months later the senior men’s team finished second in Football Brisbane Capital League 2 and under a restructure were promoted to the new FQPL 4 Metro Men.
President Ginette Barrett said ‘Phins started 2022 hoping for 200-250 players, “a few sponsors and fingers crossed a few teams making the finals”.
Six months on, the club has 315 players, 24 teams, 15 sponsors, 14 Miniroo teams (including its first girls’ team), five junior, three senior men’s and two Over 35 Masters teams.
Of 10 junior/senior/masters teams, eight have made finals while the Under 13 Division 2, Under 15 Division 1 and Over 35 Reds were all minor premiers.
“The committee and I are honoured to be involved in the establishment of the Redcliffe Dolphins Soccer Club,” President Ginette Barrett said.
“We are so proud of what the club has achieved in its first year. The players have led the charge in spectacular fashion to stamp our name on soccer fields across Brisbane and show everyone what the heart of Redcliffe is made of.”
