Plans have been approved for a light industry and residential development on one of the few remaining sizeable blocks in North Lakes.

Azure has the green light from Moreton Bay City Council for 33 ‘low impact’ industry units and 76 two-storey townhouses on 5.58 hectares off Kerr Rd.

‘Low impact’ industry units will range in size from 80sqm to 250sqm with 131 car parks and be accessible from Stapylton St.

The three and four-bedroom townhouses will have 100 resident parking spaces, 21 visitor spaces and access from Rockefeller St.

Designs for the site, which borders the Bruce Highway, include two communal hubs with a swimming pool and lawns for residents to use.

Azure Sales Manager Allyce Kluver said their plans for industry and residential developments have been “very well received”.

“Demand has met expectations,” she said. “We did a project in Capestone (Mango Hill) last year which was also very well received.”

Construction at the Kerr Rd site is set to start in the last quarter of this year and finish in the first quarter of 2025.
