GYG Kippa-Ring grand opening rescheduled

Mexican food lovers will have to wait a little longer to get their $5 burritos and bowls, with the grand opening of the new Guzman y Gomez (GYG) restaurant at Kippa-Ring being rescheduled.
The company had announced the restaurant would open on Thursday, June 15, however with work still needing to be completed at the site, the date has been changed to Tuesday, June 20.
As part of the opening celebrations, the store will be offering $5 burritos and bowls, free coffee and have a live Mariachi band.
Franchisees Adam and Samantha Hamilton say they are thrilled to open their first restaurant and provide an array of jobs for locals, including cooks, crew and shift leaders.
“We both have a passion for clean eating and absolutely love Mexican food, so this was the perfect combination of our favourite things. We couldn’t be more excited to bring GYG to the local community,” they said.
“We’ve hired over 90 locals to join the team at Kippa-Ring already and are always looking for new team members who share our same obsession with delicious fresh food to join us.
“If you’re looking for a great place to work with amazing vibes and long-term career opportunities, I encourage you to head to our website and apply today.”
The restaurant will have a dual-lane drive-through and will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.
Traffic control managers will be on site during the open day directing vehicles in and out of the restaurant site.
GYG Kippa-Ring is located at 403-406 Elizabeth Avenue and will be open from 7am-10pm.
