Jo Szulc builds a team around people, not just property

After more than two decades working in real estate on the Redcliffe Peninsula, Jo Szulc knows that success is not just about sales.
It is about people, and about having the capacity to genuinely look after them.
“I’ve been doing this for 22 years, and I still love it,” Jo says. “But there comes a point where you realise you cannot do everything on your own.”
In 2026, Jo made the decision to build a dedicated team around her for the first time. After years of managing every part of the process herself, she says the change was about sustainability, both for her clients and for herself.
“I was exhausted,” she says. “You can only properly look after so many people as one person.”
Jo began her career in real estate in 2003, working as an assistant to her mother. From those early days, she learned that trust, ethics and reputation mattered more than quick results.
“She always told me that your name is everything. That’s something I’ve carried with me throughout my career.”
After working across several agencies, Jo returned to Ray White Scarborough, where she has spent the past four and a half years building a business grounded in care, consistency and strong local relationships.
Many of her clients are long-term Peninsula residents, downsizers or families moving into the area for lifestyle reasons.
“I don’t see this as a transaction. It’s about being part of someone’s life at an important time.”
Damon Pollock and Shari Casey form the new team working with Jo at Ray White Scarborough. Bringing the team on board has allowed Jo to focus on strategy, negotiation and guiding sellers, while ensuring buyers and day-to-day details receive the time and attention they deserve.
“Now there’s more of me to go around. People don’t feel rushed or overlooked.”
With her team now in place, Jo says the focus is on continuing to serve the Peninsula community in a way that feels personal and sustainable.
“I still love what I do,” she says. “Now I can do it in a way that’s better for everyone.”
