Grace swimmer Lily Smith stepped onto the winner's podium three times at the weekend's Queensland Sprint Championships.

Smith touched first in the 18 years 50m backstroke clocking 31.08 seconds and taking the gold medal.

She also won silver in the 50m freestyle in 27.94 seconds and repeated the feat in the 50m butterfly with 29.73 seconds.

Club colleague Lauren Dymond made the final of the 17 years 50m butterfly and finished in the top four.

Grace Swimming Club, based at Rothwell, had a total of 24 members in the sprint titles at Brisbane Aquatic Centre on February 11-12.

They swam 74 races and had 34 personal best times, the biggest was by Maddison Mawhinney who took 5.26 seconds off her pb in the 50m backstroke.

With that huge personal best, Mawhinney moved up 55 places in the 10 year old age group.

Former Grace swimmer Max Cunningham, who is now at Churchie, won two gold and one silver medal at the state spring titles.

In the boys 14 years events, the North Lakes resident took the 50m freestyle in 24.38 seconds and 50m butterfly in 26.13 seconds.

He was runner-up in the 50m backstroke clocking 28.27 seconds and is now gearing up for the national championships in April.
