Locals Launch after $1.8m upgrade

The Sundowner Hotel Motel in Caboolture will host a Locals Launch weekend to celebrate its $1.8 million renovation.
From February 3-5 the venue, at Aerodrome Rd, will have giveaways, live entertainment and activities for guests of all ages.
The pub officially reopened on December 20 with an extended gaming lounge, new-look sports bar, new kids’ outdoor play zone and bistro.
It adds to the Sundowner Hotel Motel’s 13 accommodation rooms.
“The modern revamp is a new beginning for the classic Queensland pub,” Craig Ellison, Chief Operating Officer of Australian Venue Co, says.
Locals Launch schedule:
Friday February 3 - 3pm: Ultimate Tradie Club BBQ and Yeti Esky Giveaway; 4pm: Meat Tray Giveaway (5 x $50 Tray); 8-11.30pm: Live band entertainment
Saturday February 4 - 1pm: Meat Tray Giveaway (TAB Lucky Losers, 5 x $50 Trays every 30 mins); 2-5pm: Live musician in the Bistro; 3pm: Free roving canapes; 7pm: Karaoke
Sunday February 5 - All-day free kids’ ice cream; UFC live on sports bar big screen; Noon-3pm: Kids’ face painter in the Bistro; 3pm: Roving canapes
The Sundowner Hotel Motel will also have poker on Tuesdays, rib and wing specials on Wednesdays, Tradie Club and live music on Fridays and karaoke on Saturdays.
It will continue to support PA Foundation’s MANDATE program, by donating $1 from every parmi sold each Wednesday to the charity, which raises funds for prostate cancer research.
