Caboolture Town Square will come alive this weekend as Moreton Bay marks the Lunar New Year with a free, family-friendly community celebration.

The event will be held on Saturday, running from 3pm to 8pm, and will celebrate the Year of the Horse with cultural performances, food and activities in the heart of Caboolture.

Locals attending can expect a relaxed afternoon and evening featuring traditional music and dance, live cultural performances and a variety of food stalls offering Asian cuisine. The event is designed for all ages, with plenty of space to stop, watch and soak up the atmosphere.

Dogs are welcome on leads, making it an easy option for families and locals looking for something to do close to home.

The celebration will take place at Caboolture Town Square on King Street, within walking distance of Caboolture train station. Nearby parking is also available for those driving in.

Lunar New Year is an important cultural celebration for many families across Moreton Bay, and organisers say the Caboolture event is about bringing the wider community together to share in the traditions and festivities.

The event is free to attend and open to everyone.
