The holiday season is just around the corner, and what better way to kick off the festivities than at the Murrumba Christmas Spectacular community event?
City of Moreton Bay Councillor Yvonne Barlow (Div 7) is looking forward to the event on her home patch and says it will be bigger and better than last year.
“I’m absolutely thrilled that our community will be filled with the spirit of Christmas as Murrumba Christmas Spectacular will again be enjoyed by residents,” she says.
“I have fond memories of the joy Kallangur Christmas in the Street brought to the community and knew that we needed to get together again as one.
“Over 4000 residents and their families attended in our very first event - I made a promise I'd bring back a Christmas event for our area.
“Covid kept us from celebrating so many aspects of life, but no more, so let the bells ring on December 2 from 4pm-8pm.”
The Murrumba Christmas Spectacular will transform John Oxley Reserve into a festive wonderland, bringing the spirit of Christmas to the area.
From traditional Christmas carols to activities for children, there's something sure to delight visitors of all ages.
Jolly visitor
No Christmas celebration would be complete without a visit from Santa Claus, who will be waiting eagerly to hear children's wishes and spread cheer.
Explore market alley and pick up unique Christmas gifts, then head to the food trucks filled with delicious treats.
As the night comes to a close, prepare to witness a spectacular fireworks display that will illuminate the sky with bursts of colour and magic.
Murrumba Christmas Spectacular is proudly presented by the City of Moreton Bay and delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism.
