Tri club's salute to top performers

Redcliffe Triathlon Club has honoured its top performers for their achievements at home and around the world.
Percy Page, Hannah O’Connor, Steve Parnell and Helen Sprott received Athletes of the Year Awards at a ceremony in The Komo, in Redcliffe.
There were also awards for the most improved triathletes, those who have overcome adversity and six who were World Championship qualifiers.
Athletes of the Year:
Junior Male – Percy Page
Junior Female – Hannah O’Connor
Adult Male – Steve Parnell
Adult Female – Helen Sprott
Most improved awards:
Most Improved Junior – Kody Hockey
Most Improved Female – Joana Roque
Most Improved Male – Paul Crothers

Stuart Lines Memorial Award (athlete who has overcome odds)
Kenny Adriaansen, who overcame multiple setbacks to continue to qualify for 70.3 Worlds. Shoulder – Bike accident – Broken leg – Dog incident – Leg Stress – leftover from the dog.
