Samford Show cancelled due to wet weather

Organisers of this year's Samford Show have made the heartbreaking decision to cancel the two-day event due to the weather.

The event was scheduled for July 9 and 10, but due to the recent rain, and the possibility of more on the way, the decision was made with the safety of everyone in mind.

The showgrounds are still wet from the previous downpours, and aren't expected to dry out in time.

The Bureau of Meteorology is also predicting more heavy rainfalls in the coming weeks.

Show organisers hope to reschedule the event on a later date when the whole community can come together safely.
