School holiday fun at the library

Moreton Bay Regional Council’s school holiday program is now open for bookings, with plenty of free activities for children of all ages to enjoy.
They can join in activities such as playing board games, singing songs, printing their own stickers, drawing and more.
Here is a full list of activities happening in the June/July school holidays.

STEAM Station
Explore a world of science, tech, engineering, art and maths through hands-on discovery.
It is free to attend, and no bookings are required.
Minecraft Club
Complete challenges, learn new skills and connect with other crafters on the library server.
Book a spot to play from home using your own Bedrock or Java account or come and use library computers and accounts.
Meet a baby dino
Meet a baby T-Rex and find out more about these amazing reptiles by playing dino games and discover dino eggs with Dino Encounters.

Manga drawing
Create your own unique manga characters with artist David Lovegrove.
It is free to attend, but bookings are required.
DIY sticker station
Choose from hundreds of designs in the Cricut library and take one home to decorate your drink bottle, laptop and more,

Messy play
Drop in and play with kinetic sand, play dough, painting, craft and more. Dress for getting messy.

Fun factory
Drop in these school holidays for games, craft and fun for the whole family.

Music Exploratorium
Discover the science behind sound and music through a range of science experiments.
It is free to attend. Children/teens only require tickets to this event.
Robot music
Make a robot play a song! Learn how to program a Dash robot to play a xylophone.

3D print design
Design an object to be printed using Council’s 3D printers, which you can pick up after the workshop.
It is free to attend, but bookings are required.
Games day
Play board games, card games, and roleplaying games.

Imagination Trail
Become the hero of your own tale in this adventure role play with the Australian Acting Academy.

Create your own inspiration card deck
Create your own laminated card deck, inspired by colour, imagination and emotional wellbeing with artist Chrissy Foreman.

Character building for tabletop roleplaying
In just two hours, you'll have the power to create your own unique and fully-formed TTRP character with their own background, motivations and personalities. Bring a piece of costume to build your character around and the Australian Acting Academy will help you use it to flesh out your character’s backstory, motivation and personality.
