Singer-songwriter Sinead Burgess, who grew up in the Moreton Bay Region, is back for the only Queensland dates on her Silver Linings Tour with Blake O’Connor.

The duo, among the first to tour and cross into Queensland since the borders reopened, are at Loganholme tomorrow (February 5) and Nundah on Saturday (February 6).

These are the only shows in this state on their acoustic tour which started in NSW back in October and returns to the southern state next week.

State dates

Tickets are still available for the shows at Fitzy’s, on Bryants Rd, Loganholme tomorrow and The Royal Hotel, Sandgate Rd, Nundah, on Saturday.

Sinead, who was born in Redcliffe, lived in Beachmere and made her public debut at the Urban Country Music Festival, Caboolture, said no other Queensland dates are planned.

“But Blake will be back with the band later this year and I plan to do the same when I release new songs this year,” she says.

So happy

“More and more people are starting to get touring now which is wonderful, but it will take a while to get back into touring.

“We keep finding people are so happy to have live music back and so are we. I’m so thrilled to be back playing in my home state now the borders are open.”

Sinead, based in Nashville before COVID-19, and Blake met at Golden Guitar Awards in Tamworth in January when both were nominated for New Talent of the Year.

How to book

A musical collaboration quickly developed and their tour’s theme song Silver Linings was written over Zoom. The song is about emerging from a dark place and realising everything had a silver lining.
