With the school holidays almost over and kids squeezing in every last bit of fun before term starts, Morayfield Shopping Centre has become the place to be, with only days left to join the action.
The free Summer Skate Sesh runs daily until Sunday 18 January, from 10am to 1pm, giving families a final chance to enjoy a school holiday activity before term begins.
This week, the centre has been buzzing as families take part in the roller skating experience, with children of all ages trying something new, building confidence and burning off school holiday energy.
A popular school holiday activity
Parents line the rink watching on, siblings cheer each other on, and first-time skaters are encouraged by those already finding their feet.
For many local families, free school holiday activities can be hard to find, particularly toward the end of the break. Events like this offer a welcome solution, getting kids moving, laughing and off screens, even if only for an hour.
Only days left to skate
With kids heading back to school soon and the Australia Day long weekend approaching, families are encouraged to make the most of the final days.
No bookings are required. Visitors can simply turn up and join in.
