A new dessert bar at Griffin is proving sweet for local job-seekers.
Sweet Republick opened along with the Burrito Bar and Smokin Ribs & Burgers last month, with the three outlets creating more than 30 local jobs.
All three eateries are owned by franchise partners Kalpit Patel and Pruthvi Chauhan.
Burrito Bar national marketing manager Paige Cloughessy says the trio aim to fill a gap in the Griffin food market.
“It’s been great – everybody seems to love it,” Paige says.
“It was the biggest opening day – we broke a lot of records.”
Drive-through a first
The franchise now has 36 Burrito Bars, but the Griffin outlet is the brand’s first drive-through.
“We like to think of Sweet Republick as more than just a cherry on-top,” Paige says.
“We offer all kinds of specialty sundaes, desserts, and classic shakes - all available for dine-in, drive-through, take-away and home delivery.”
Sweet Republick offers waffles, brownies, chocolate nachos and churros, along with an array of sundaes, milkshakes and ice cream flavours.
The American-style Smokin Ribs & Burgers menu features 15 different burgers, ribs, wraps and southern-fried chicken, while the Burrito Bar offering includes wings, burritos, nachos, quesadillas, enchiladas, naked burritos, fajitas and tortas.
Burrito Bar, Smokin Ribs & Burgers and Sweet Republick are at 185 Brays Rd, Griffin.
