Winners have been declared in three of the seven Moreton Bay City Council divisions which were up for grabs in the Local Government Elections.
Sitting councillors Mark Booth (Division 2), Adam Hain (Division 3) and Matt Constance (Division 10) have all been officially returned by the Electoral Commission Queensland (ECQ).
Division 2 was a landslide victory for Cr Booth with 19,901 (86.24 per cent) in the official first preference count, ahead of Greg Dillon on 1376.
Matt Contance also won Division 10 comfortably with 14,293 (65.43 per cent) from Brett McDowall 4357 (19.95 per cent) and Andrew Murphy (3193 (14.62 per cent).
Adam Hain had 14367 (64.63 per cent), beating Kerri Raedel 7861 (35.37 per cent) to secure a third term in Division 3.
He said on Facebook: “A huge thanks for my family, friends and all of our supporters. These next four years will be huge!”
Cr Booth also appears to have top spot in the list of first preferences by per centage in the five Moreton Bay Regional/City Council elections.
Top 10: Mark Booth (2024) 86.24 per cent; Brooke Savige (2020) 78.04 per cent; Darren Grimwade (2020) 76,63 per cent; Brian Battersby (2008) 75.31 per cent; Bob Millar (2008) 74.09 per cent; Karl Winchester (2024) 71.62 per cent; Mick Gillam (2012) 66.40 per cent; Koliana Winchester (2016) 66.35; Julie Greer (2016) 65.70 per cent; Matt Constance (2024) 65.43 per cent.
The ECQ website shows sitting councillors Sandra Ruck (Division 5), Karl Winchester (Division 6) and Tony Latter (Division 12) all leading, but at the time of writing, results in their divisions have not been declared.
The vacant Division 8 position, following the retirement of Mick Gillam, has Jim Moloney still well ahead of his four rivals.
Mayor Peter Flannery, Cr Brooke Savige (Division 1), Cr Jodie Shipway (Division 4), Cr Yvonne Barlow (Division 7), Cr Kath Tonks (Division 9) and Cr Darren Grimwade (Division 11) were all returned uncontested.
