A Warner mum is planning to make a splash and surprise her family with a new pool for Christmas after winning more than $16,000 in the latest Super 66 draw.
The Moreton Bay region winner held the only division one winning entry in Super 66 draw 4207, drawn Saturday. She takes home a division one prize of $16,666.
There have been six division one wins in the Moreton Bay region so far in 2021 worth more than $17.2 million.
Confirming her weekend win with an official from The Lott this morning, the Queenslander admitted she was still soaking up the excitement.
“It’s amazing! Woo-hoo!” she said. “I was sitting in the lounge room with my family, having a cup of coffee when I checked my emails.
Started cheering
“I had received an email from The Lott and it said they couldn’t reveal what the prize was for privacy reasons and so I knew the prize I’d won in the draw had to be good.
“So, I ran and got the ticket and scanned it on The Lott app. I instantly gasped when I saw what I’d won. I just kept saying, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god!’.
“My family started looking at me strangely and asked what was wrong. They were all very curious about the commotion.
“When I told them what I’d won, they all started cheering, ‘Woo-hoo!’.
“My husband was absolutely blown away. He still can’t believe it. Thinking about it right now makes me want to tear up. This is just amazing.”
When asked how she planned to enjoy her windfall, the elated woman said she was ready dive into summer.
“We’ve been wanting to get a pool for a while, so this will go towards that. The family will be so excited!” she declared.
“It’s perfect timing with Christmas right around the corner too. It’s incredible!”
Her life-changing 2-game QuickPick entry was purchased at Nextra Warner, Shop 14 Warner Village Shopping Centre, 353 Samsonvale Road, Warner.
So excited
Nextra Warner owner Russell Went said it had been several months since their last major prize win, so it was an exciting moment for the outlet.
“What a fantastic prize to win! Especially with the easing of restrictions and Christmas coming up,” he shared.
“Our customers have been so excited about the win and hoping they’re next. We’ll be working hard to repeat a major win for our customers!
“It’s very exciting for our store and for the winner. We wish her all the very best with her prize and hope she can use it wisely.”
